Learning from the Chicago Tribune Tower competition 1922-“conscious Inspiration”
Chicago is one of the first cities where skyscrapers were built (the first were built at the late 19th century).
In this post I will show skyscrapers built in Chicago after the Chicago Tribune competition in 1922.

Here are four towers designed and built in the 20th of the last century, in Chicago, after the Competition.
Are their source of inspiration, is the tower planned by Eliel Saarinen for the Chicago Tribune competition?
Did architects in Chicago, planned skyscrapers implementing the principles of the “Conscious inspiration”?

I really do not know what are you referring to as ‘conscious inspiration’ in these sketches, and i might have misunderstood what you meant, but, you do realize that those buildings have those particular shapes because of nyc urban norms, right?

Djnti thanks for your comment..
I think the same as you…. “Conscious Inspiration” is getting inspired in a conscious way.
Here it how it works:
First step: Learning from an Inspiration source
Second Step: Applying your own insight in the project by using the “conscious Inspiration tools”.
Third step: Adding your own invention and your talent and designing an original building.
