1/ Sudied art as a child and originally planned to study art in college.
2/Studied architecture five years at ‘Escuela TÈcnica 1969-1974.
3/studied civil engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich1975-1979.
4/Doctorate in Technical Science from the Department of Architecture ETH Zurich1979-1981.

Caltrava’s Invention Architecture:
A cantilever spar cable-stayed bridge like in Alamillo Bridge in Seville is a modern variation of the cable-stayed bridge- Sanfrasico bridge, The “Golden Gate”.
This design has been pioneered by Santiago Calatrava.
