Zvi Hecker’s quote:  “A building is based on the precision of an idea on which variations are made. With the Spiral House, the idea itself is very simple; therefore the variations can be very complex”.

Frank Lloyd Wrights’ Guggenheim Museum, I believe, is the most influential example of Spiral architecture in the 20th century.

    1. Very nice overview of the “babel tower” projects
      Perhaps one could add Le Corbusier” -musée à croissance illimitée- even thought it’s a one dimension spiral.
