Zaha Hadid – “Burning Inspiration”

Zaha Hadid Architect

  Signature Tower “Dancing Towers   Dubai

first unveiled to the public in June, 2006

The project was first unveiled to the public in June, 2006 at a Zaha Hadid exhibition in the Guggenheim Museum in New York. At the time of the launch the name for the project was Dancing Towers; however, this has now been changed to Signature Tower & Dubai Financial Market Development.

BIG Architects

  Mixed-use office and residential building

 Prague  published September 30, 2008

A proposed tower in Prague. The mixed-use office and residential building was conceived as a traditional tower block that was sliced and bent apart to maximize natural light and, we can only assume, to make a cool formal gesture in the tradition of Rem Koolhaas. The architects were seeking to unite history and contemporary functionality “by uniting the tradition of building towers in clusters, which is seen in the old Prague, with the rational way of organizing tall buildings as we know it from the American skyscraper.”·

The Lagoons Towers/ “burning flames Towers”

Dubai ,  Published   2008

The Lagoons is being carved out of an extension of Dubai Creek and requires entirely new supporting infrastructure. The project comprises 70 million square feet of gross building area, and the base podium in the business district is designed to park 35,000 cars. The district’s four signature towers contain more than 6 million square feet of office, hotel, and residential space. Making this
already challenging project all the more difficult, the radical geometry for the towers requires that every floor plate be unique.

From Scriptecture

It seems that lately architectural trends aim to stun the potential viewer – buildings get taller and more intricate.Dubai will host yet another architecture wonder – 4 towers with a different number of floors, which resembles burning flames. The project will be designed by Thompson, Ventulett, Stainback & Associates.

At the year 2002MVRDV architects office designed a group of towers for the Donau city  in Vienna. The project was inspired by critical thinking about skyscrapers.

The result was a three dimensional City.

MVRDV’s towers were called the “Kissing Towers”.

At the same year Zaha Hadid designed two “Kissing Towers” for Ground -zero in New- York City.

Four years later Zaha Hadid designed three towers for Dubai, they were called the “Dancing Towers”.
