And I thought to myself that only Zaha Hadid and MAD Architects, were inspired by E’mile Aillaud cloud towers…. Apparently not, it happens again here “in my backyard”

Cloud Buildings In my backyard

From Eliinbar’s Sketchbook 2018– E’mile Aillaud cloud towers….  “in my backyard”

This post is number four

In a series of posts, I call “In my backyard

In which I present for your review, buildings that I found “in my backyard” and photographed them for you.

All buildings are within 60 km from home

The choice to photograph these buildings was not random

They reminded me of forgotten posts

For you to judge

In the 1970s

A French architect named E’mile Aillaud ,planned residential towers not far from Paris. He called them “Cloud Towers“.

Years later architects like MAD Architects and Zaha Hadid, took the idea of Cloud Towers into more creative directions.

You are invited to visit a post from 2013 ,in which I presented projects by Zaha Hadid and MAD Architects.

Zaha Hadid and MAD architects ,what is your secret?

?Eliinbar Sketches 2013 – Zaha Hadid and MAD architects ,what is your secret

sketches-for-baner-etzy2-copy-3-copy-copy-copy[1]

Sometimes you have to take a break and look around

This time I chose to observe my surroundings …. Tel Aviv

…. Oh what my eyes see

This is the short story of one of the known and most respected architects firms  in Israel

The story begins with a prestigious project designed by Yassky, Moore ,Sivan Architects in 2011 in Tel Aviv, the Inbal Or’s Arlozorov towers

Shown in the next image

Three years before , Zaha Hadid designs the well-known Galaxy Soho

Note the dominant non-uniformity morphology of this buildings

Both buildings look radically different but  share the same morphic language and the same envelopes strategy

Circumferential white rings, and between them, windows of the same size and shape

Also note the unique corved connection between the two wings. They are identical in both buildings. You can identify them at the bottom and the top .They strengthen the feeling of the continuous flowing of the main volumes

How is it ,that the best architects, choose to be inspired , especially from the morphic aspect of  existing buildings, and give up the most important principle to architect , to plan in response to the close environment in which they build

Whether the respected architect decided to be inspired from an existing building , how he deals with the natural need to adapt the building to its surroundings

And finally ,how it happens that those architects are highly respected by their colleagues and their clients

The answer is simple….they are getting  inspired from existing buildings, but in a conscious way….this is the big secret

Now you can ask….how can we learn to get inspired consciously? ….this is another story

Answer to this question you can find in my previous posts , here are some examples

Andy Warhol, What do you think about the “Conscious Inspiration Method

https://archidialog.com/2013/02/03/

Le Corbusier, Frank Gehry ,Rem Koolhaas, Herzog De Meuron and MVRDV, ….The Only one that can “put them” together in one building is the“Conscious Inspiration Method”

https://archidialog.com/2012/09/30/

Conscious Inspiration   the ultimate inspiration methodology

https://archidialog.com/2011/02/04/

The story is not over yet …. Two years later

The respected architectural firm plans another project for Inbal Or

These buildings are compared to no less than the Sydney Opera House and the Hotel Burj Al Arab in Dubai

You are invited to watch the following video showing the project

Eliinbar Sketches 2013 - Zaha Hadid and MAD Architects Inspired by Construction Methods

Eliinbar’s Sketches 2013  –  Zaha Hadid and MAD Architects, Inspired by Construction Methods

This blog

examines the inspiration sources of contemporary architectural projects

….I put a virtual mirror  reflecting processes of conscious and unconscious inspiration among Architects

….and you judge

But my challenge is not over yet

….If my “mirror” reflects the reality correctly

Then is needed a change in architecture profession training

….And I will explane

.You probably noticed that the differences between “Conscious Inspiration” and “Copy paste” are rather vague

And there is a consensus that

Copy-paste” is disastrous for the architectural profession”

We all know that the basis for all architectural design , is the unique site on which the building is built

?so how can we copy buildings

For that I strive to develope a responsive training method for architects

.I call it the Conscious Inspiration Method

.The “Conscious Inspiration Method” is  learning to be inspired consciously from existing buildings

With the methodology of “conscious Inspiration”, we don’t need to be intimidated to get inspired from relevant buildings.  Once we develop our designing tools =“Codex Rules”, it will lead us to high quality creative architecture

.

I believe that the natural development of architecture design is based on inspiration techniques ….I call them Codex Rules

In my next posts ,with the aid of the big master Le Corbusier I will show some Interesting  inspiration techniques

….Enough with the theory…. lets place the mirror

In this post I will put my virtual “mirror” in front of two architectural projects among 5 finalist for ARCHDAILY building of the year awards 2012

A “short talk” about “Conscious Inspiration”  January 2013

Inspiration” or “Copy Paste” are the most dominant phenomenon of the 21st century among architects.

Most likely , the “availability of information” enables the existence of the phenomenon.

The abundance of information in the Web affects us all…. I present it every week in my blog, accompanied by my explanation sketches.

We saw more than once, differences between “Conscious Inspiration” and “copy paste” are not so big….

With this challenge, the “Conscious inspiration Method” wants to cope .

I believe that the natural development of architecture design is based on inspiration techniques ….I call them “Codex Rules”.

I strive to develop a method.

A method that will help architects and designers to cope with this phenomenon, At this point in time, I call it the “Conscious Inspiration Method” ….

With the methodology of “conscious Inspiration”, we don’t need to be intimidated to get inspired from relevant buildings.  Once we develop our tools =“Codex Rules”, it will lead us to high quality creative architecture.

The Conscious Inspiration Method‘ ,  How it Works?

First step: “knowledge”, as many said and wrote before; knowledge is the foundation for all designing process. We architects and designers are obliged to be informed about everything that was designed in the past and on a daily basis.

Second step: develop Conscious Inspiration personal  tools = “Codex Rules”.

Third step: the inspiration Source. (Don’t be intimidated to get inspired from relevant buildings).

Step Fourrealize your design idea (your invention).

Five “HOWS” of the “Conscious Inspiration Method

1. How to filter out relevant knowledge from the Web with abundance of information?

2. How to develop your own vision?

3. How to choose the right “Inspiration Sources” that empowers your vision?

4. How to develop your 0wn personal design tools?

5. How to use your inspiration sources as the “Planning Process Generator”, and to design high quality creative architecture?
