“Origami Envelopes” – Conscious Inspiration

Posted in buildings, public buildings with tags , , , , , , , , on February 24, 2011 by eliinbar

Origami from ori meaning “folding“, and kami meaning “paper”; kami changes to gami due to rendaku is the traditional Japanese folk art of paper folding, which started in the 17th century AD and was popularized in the mid-1900s. It has since then evolved into a modern art form. The goal of this art is to transform a flat sheet of material into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques, and as such the use of cuts or glue are not considered to be origami.

Posted in buildings, public buildings with tags , , , , , , , , on February 22, 2011 by eliinbar

“Conscious Inspiration” is practicing and acquiring tools,  to improve observation and differentiation of details.

In this post I will try to distinguish and describe three common approaches to trendy design of buildings envelopes.

In my future posts I will demonstrate and explain with the ad of the “Conscious Inspiration signs” the different trendy approaches to design buildings envelopes.
